FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How do Infrared Heat Panels work?

Traditional heating drys out our environment and the loss of heat through the cooling of the air in the room means a requirement for constant burning of fuel to maintain the comfort of those occupying the room. Using harmless, clean, healthy and incredibly economical electromagnetic waves, that lie just under the visible range of light; Infrared Radiant Heat Panels cleanly and greenly bring us instant, controllable heat at a fraction of the cost of traditional, inefficient and dirty fossil fuel based heating systems.

  • How will I save money with Infrared Heat Panels?

Simple. Infrared heat panels can be up to 70% more cost effective than traditional central heating systems.
You only need 5 hours worth of electricity from the national grid to heat your room for 24 hours.

In experiments where an existing heating system has been replaced entirely with Infrared Heating, the energy usage has been reduced by:
    60% for Gas Central Heating
    70% for Oil Central Heating
and 70% for Electrical Storage Heating.

  • I know the energy costs of Infrared Heat Panels are a fraction of traditional heating systems but what about maintenance costs?

Its more good news here. Traditional heating systems require a costly annual boiler service check to be carried out by a Registered Gas Installer. Because of their moving parts and the fact they are burning harmful carbon emitting fossil fuels they are also very prone to breakdown.

Your infrared heat panels require NO ANNUAL SERVICING.

They are not just cheaper to buy, install and run they are also cheaper to own.

  • Are Infrared Heat Panels Really Green?

Yes. Just think about how inefficient traditional heating systems are. Traditional oil or gas fired boilers operate by simply burning precious natural resources that have been mined out of the earth. This process is outdated, wasteful and unfriendly to the environment.

Infrared heat panels change all of that. They work in the same way as the greatest natural heater of all: the Sun. Using their natural and energy efficient radiant technology the inefficiencies associated with traditional and outmoded heating systems are a thing of the past. That’s good for the planet and your pocket.

  • What is radiant heat?

Radiant heat is heat which radiates out from an element in this case an infrared panel and warms objects rather than the air. An example of radiant heat that many people may be familiar with is the heat which comes off an electric element on a stove. People often use the term “radiant heat” or “radiant heating” to describe a particular type of home heating system which has been in use for thousands of years.

  • What about CO2 Emissions?

None. Quite simply your new Infrared Heating Panel system will not be emitting CO2. You’ll be cleaning up your carbon footprint as well as creating the most comfortable heated environment for you and your family.

  • What about installation, will this be expensive?

No! Your installation costs will be literally a fraction of cost of installing a traditional radiator in your home. There is no boiler, no flue, no chimney, no pipes, no plumbing, no digging, no cutting, no complicated building works whatsoever. Because infrared heat panels are run with electricity installing a heat panel is as simple as fitting a new light fitting or putting in a socket.

  • Can you carry out my installation?

Yes. Not only will we supply your infrared heating panles as qualified installers electrical contractors we can install them as well.

  • Can I retro-fit Infrared Heat Panels or are they just for New Builds?

Infrared Heat Panels can be retro-fitted to your home very easily. Once they are installed you can simply stop using your old heating system or remove it altogether. Its up to you.

  • Where can I use Infrared Heat Panels?

Anywhere you need heat! Home, Office, Retail, Industrial, Commercial, Educational, Medical: Any type of building will benefit from the installation of Infrared Heat Panels. Think about it: traditional heating systems are installed in any and all environments we encounter on a daily basis.

Infrared Heat Panels can be installed in any environment that heating is required and, what’s more, in 100% of cases the environment of the heated space is improved from a heat output, environmental, energy efficiency, cost effectiveness and health perspective.

  • What about peace of mind – Do I get a warranty?

You certainly do! Infrared Heat Panels come with a standard 5 year manufacturers warranty. Not only that but they have undergone the worlds most stringent set of quality assurance tests and have attained the highest TÜV SÜD Certification, CE Certification and are RoHS Compliant.

  • Do I have flexibility on where I can place the panels in my rooms?

Absolutely. The wonderful thing about Infrared heat panels compared to traditional radiators is that they are almost completely unobtrusive. Firstly the attractive flat white panels have a much sleeker profile than old traditional radiators so you won’t notice they are there. Secondly you can mount them on your walls or your ceilings – you decide what suits you best. Because infrared heat panels are bracket mounted its no more complicated than fixing a flat screen TV to your wall or ceiling.

  • Are there any other benefits with Infrared Heating Panel?

You mean apart from cheap, green, natural heat in your home? Yes. Because the infrared heat panels heat with natures naturally occurring infrared rays they create a healthy environment, warming the skin, the heat is then passed by the blood circulation around the body. Infrared heating does not cause air currents or movement of dust which can cause problems for people with asthma or bronchial ailments

  • How many panels do I need for my home?

It depends. The requirement for each home will be different depending on certain variables such as room size, ceiling height, insulation, windows, etc. These variables would need to be taken into account when considering any heating system.

  • Do you have accreditations / certifications?

Yes. Our panels are held in high regard throughout the industy and have the evidence to back this up.
